Brian Donnelly (British diplomat)

Sir Joseph Brian Donnelly, KCMG, KBE, is a retired British diplomat.
He attended the Queen's College, Oxford (1963–66) then received his Master's Degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Afterward, he began an M.Phil at LSE, but left in 1970 and began working at the GCHQ.
In 1973 he began working at the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office. He worked at several UK and overseas British diplomatic postings before being appointed the UK's Ambassador to Yugoslavia, and later served as Ambassador to Zimbabwe.
